Green “Millennials” see red when it comes to Chipotle’s guacamole!

Millennials, Gen Xers, and Baby Boomers are green generations. They care about all things environmental. After all, Baby Boomers created the out-of-doors movement and the love and preservation of the earth as well as raising environmental awareness for younger generations.

That is, unless it comes to cutting out their guacamole at Chipotle.

Chipotle stirred up guacamole lovers with the news that it might have to “suspend” guacamole from its menu due to global warming.

Environmental generations saw red.

Chipotle saw a potential loss of loyal, health-oriented customers.

And, a company spokesman quickly walked back the guacamole-suspension warning in its annual report.

As a public company … we are required to disclose any potential issues that could have potential impact on our business … The sky is not falling. We have guac in all of our restaurants.

There is a delicate balance in nature … and evidently, a delicate balance in how far people will go to protect it. Holy guacamole!
